I grabbed a red-eye out of LA the other night, actually missing my first flight, thanks to a traffic jam caused by this (if you are too lazy to click: lots of cabbage).
My 9:20 pm flight was a no-go, but luckily 11:45 it was! I'd never taken a red-eye, so I had NO IDEA what that entailed. Did I think it would involve major turbulence, a seat that did not recline, an ancient asian man who looked like an animatronic creature from The Never Ending Story farting in my face? NO but it did involve all of those things.
Also, I didn't get any sleep. At all.
